In the NFL games, on the sideline there are some people who are holding a glass bowl shaped stuff. w

These guys are wearing headphones also... so my guess is that they are related to the TV crew... but what does that glass bowl or reflector do?

In the NFL games, on the sideline there are some people who are holding a glass bowl shaped stuff. whats that?nba season

it's a microphone,high powered,I beleive called a parabollic mic

Not sure but I think that's some sort of sound-capturing device.
It's a Vulcan death ray machine..........
It for listening to all the moaning going on in the field
those things record sounds.
picks up game sounds.. like hitts and groans..

Should the nfl go to a 7 game playoff system?

Give me your answer, yes or no and give me supporting details as to why you picked that answer, most major sports have a multiple game playoff series, which is good for teams that are consistent, rather than lucky.

+10 for the best answer.

Should the nfl go to a 7 game playoff system?www.nba

yes because then more teams get a chance to win the super bowl...

Should the nfl go to a 7 game playoff system?nba players ,nba teams

What you've just asked is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent question were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
No way a 7 game series.MAYBE like a 3 game series but that is still to much.

Football takes alot of toll to the body.Hockey is a contact sport but your always getting hit in Football. There's a reason why they make a 16 game regular season.
No, I like football playoffs how it is, win or go home. If it went to series then alot of the comebacks we have seen in the past would not happen, coachs would take players out if they are down too far early in the series.
No, that would be way to long. Besides, football just isn't a series sport. All it would do accomplish is the injury of more players.
i wouldnt mind seeing the superbowl maybe best of 3 but the nfl just destroys guys physically. No way theyd make the season 2x as long w/ 7 game series playoffs.
actually, it would actually have to go up to more, most likely 8 or 9, if there are more teams in the Wild card.
Cause unlike Baseball, Hockey, and Basketball, football is full friggin contact!!!!!! Think before you ask a question.
no that is wayyy too much considering that there are only 16 games a season... maybe the best out of 3? hey if they increase it its all right with me; i love watching more games
Heck no Football players get hurt more then Basketball and Baseball.
No one is good maybe they could stretch it to three games but not seven
yeah lets all wait about ****** 28 weeks before the playoffs finish...
Sounds good, but I have to answer no. The game is way too physical. That's why I don't understand how hockey players do it! Maybe it could be 2 out of 3 but that is very taxing on a football player's body. The season already lasts 6 months. If they play multiple playoff games, the teams would have to play more than once a week or extend into March. Is there any kind of requirement for off season duration?

Anyway, I wouldn't call most of the wins "lucky". Football is a tough sport mentally and physically and requires efficient coaching as wells as playing. You can think of each playoff game as a GAME 7 (win or go home mentality). Maybe that would help put these games in perspective. I like where you are going with the question, I just think that 7 games is a little ambitious.

In the NFL who is the better Halfback, Brian Westbrook or Tiki Barber?

My guess is Brian Westbrook but i need your opinions.

In the NFL who is the better Halfback, Brian Westbrook or Tiki Barber?nba

Tiki is the better TV host

Westbrook is the better halfback.

In the NFL who is the better Halfback, Brian Westbrook or Tiki Barber?nhl ,nba teams

Westbrook. Tiki was good, but Westbrook does it all.....he is everything people think Reggie Bush might be.....he catches, he can bull rush....he can juke. Without Tiki, the Giants can win. Without Westbrook? The eagles are toast.
Westbrook For Sure.
tiki the guy had huge numbers his last 2 years when he started playin everyday and westbrook just got too start playin too just a few years ago so as of right now id say tiki was plus westbrook is always hurt
Brian Westbrook. Until the last couple years of his career, Tiki was terrible hanging onto the football. They are similar in style and skill, but I give the edge to BW.
Westbrook, he's totally awesome. He's so tough man.
Barber is a baby. Westbrook is better.
magic 8 ball sez tiki retired. westy great, when healthy.
BRIAN WESTBROOK

BWEST THE BEST

There is just no competition at all, Tiki just can't hang on to the ball and he's no where near as reliable as Westbrook.
Westbrook. Tiki is a fumbler and a malcontent. Strahan said today on ESPN that he almost whipped Tiki's butt!
I would say Westbrook, and not only because I am an Eagles fan. If you look at it, Brian Westbrook basically makes up the entire offense. He does everything. He runs, catches and even blocks well. He can run between tackles, and despite his size, he can break a lot of tackles. Not taking anything away from Barber, but Westbrook is clearly the better back.
Good question. I think it just depend on what you are looking for in a runningback. Both are good in their own style of play. Personally, I like Westbrooks, but I maybe being a little bias..... just a little.

What teams play who in the NFL playoffs?

how do they know who faces who in the playoffs. patorits, steelers? chargers etc and wildcard team and who are the chargers going to play in the first round?

What teams play who in the NFL playoffs?nba dunks

OK, take the AFC, each team is seeded 1-6 based on their record. Example: 1) Pats 2) Colts 3) Steelers 4) Chargers

5) Jags 6) Browns

The Pats and Colts get a 1st round bye as they are the highest 2 seeds. The Steelers would play the Browns in Pittsburgh, and the Chargers would play the Jags in San Diego. For the 2nd round the teams are re-seeded 1-4 based on their record, and 1 seed (Patriots) would play the 4 seed, and the #2 seed (Colts) would play the #3 seed. Higher seed get home field advantage.

What teams play who in the NFL playoffs?nba all star ,nba teams

Well If SD wins the rest of their games, and Pitt. loses one game, then SD will play Clevland... IF Pitt wins all their games and SD loses one( which wont happen) Then SD will play JAGS in SD and Pitt will play Clevland
The teams are seeded this way:

Seeds 1-4 are the 4 division winners, with the team with the best record being # 1, the team with the next best record is #2, etc.

Seeds 5 and 6 are the wild cards. These are the two teams, other than the division winners, with the best records.

It's possible for a team with a better record than another to actually have a lower seed than that team. For example, if the Colts finish at 14-2, the Jaguars at 11-5, and the Chargers at 10-6, the Chargers would actually be seeded higher than the Jags because they would be a divison winner while Jacksonville would be a wild card team.

In the first round of the playoffs (wild card weekend), the #3 seed plays #6, and the #4 seed plays #5. The top 2 seeds in each conference get a bye in the first week.

In the second playoff week, the #1 seed plays the lowest seed that is still alive, and the #2 seed plays the other team. The third week of the playoffs are the conference championship games, when only 2 teams in each conference are left.

In all post season games except the Superbowl, the highest seeded team is the home team.

In the AFC, the Patriots have clinched the # 1 seed and the Colts have clinched # 2. The other seeds aren't determined for sure yet.
The best team always plays the worst team, simple as that.

1%26amp;2 will get a bye the first week. So 3 will play 6 and and 4 will play 5. In week 2, 1 will play the lowest ranked one left, and 2 will play the highest one left.

What does the little green sticker on the NFL quarterbacks helmet mean?

It means that the helmet is set up with communications to the sideline. Only one player is allowed to have communications with the sideline so if theres 2 little green stickers on the field they are cheating.

What does the little green sticker on the NFL quarterbacks helmet mean?nba sports

Its the quarterbacks radio with the offensive coordinater. next year you'll probably see linebackers with the same thing to stop the patriot's whole spygate thing

What does the little green sticker on the NFL quarterbacks helmet mean?basketball players ,nba teams

It means HamThugger, PorkThugger, firelesmiles, and LSUballs are in the neighborhood, so keep your children under 13 years old under lock and key.
it means that player is the only player designated to receive radio signals. usually the quarterback. same thing would apply to defensive players. i believe only one player at a time can receive signals weather or not it's offense or defense
It means there's a speaker in the helmet, so the player can receive plays from the sideline.
IT MEANS THEY VOTED FOR RALPH NADER.
its a recall sticker since the helmets have too much lead in them and were made in china...
It means you do not know how to use the search feature here because this question has been asked to death!

But here you go anyway... It means they are in support of a 4th Shrek movie and they are also a marker for aliens to help recover players that have been probed.
It marks confederacy supporters.

So yeah I know it's early to be asking this but what NFL team do you think is going to win the

I'll have to say the Chargers on this one. They got ripped off in the playoffs last year by a field goal. I mean they have a star running back (LT) who might be one of the best running backs ever.

So yeah I know it's early to be asking this but what NFL team do you think is going to win the Superbowl?nba stats

The Patriots BLEW it bigtime last year against what seemed a sure win against the Colts. they would have taken the 'ship if they didnt blow it.

And they got better in the offseason and all of the receivers and brady have a season of experience together...

I really have to say the Pats

So yeah I know it's early to be asking this but what NFL team do you think is going to win the Superbowl?nba score ,nba teams

colts
PATS BABY.....

They got beat because they played Marty Ball.....The pats were and are a better team. The pats _should_ have won the AFC playoff, but the refs obviously felt differently. A face guarding call? That's not even a real call. That gave indy the ball on the one yard line, then later the cheesy roughing the passer call. The Pats should be the superbowl champs this last year, and they will be next year. The chargers have gone through too many changes and now have a coach with a dubious record.
r u serious, it has 2 be the titans man, vince young is the best QB ever, i predict it will be Tennesse vs. Dallas because dallas has the best WR the Nfl has ever seen in terell owens, actually on second thought, i'd have 2 say the bills because JP Lossman is the Perfect QB
You guys have to be kidding me. Have you heard the NFL news lately and seen who the patriots signed. They were one game away from the Super Bowl last year and now they filled all the holes they needed by signing a ton of excellent recievers, linebackers, and corners.

Patriots all the way. Hands down.
SANDIEGO CHARGES OF COURSE
Since the NFC does not have the caliber of teams the AFC has. It will be the Colts or Pats. I would love to see the Colts repeat. Pats look good, but might have compatibility problems if things don't go there way. I always respected the Pats until they signed Greedy Moss. Just goes to show you all they care about is winning now. Chargers have a whole new coaching staff. They may gel later in the season, but I don't expect them to have as good as year.
San Diego Chargers!!!!!!!
The Patriots. I mean, they had one up in the air call that didn't go their way last year, and it's not like they ever had calls go their way before. Goodell will have the Lombardi Trophy in Robert Kraft's off by the middle of June. Bitches.
COLTS!!!! Again!!!!
im going to say we get to see the match up we wanted to see last year new orleans vs san diego. or defense vs defense bears vs ravens those are my 4 choice's to go and in both match ups i likes the afc team to win
Well i say the Raiders are going to go this year or The saints.
Chargers have the tendency to falter when the need to win the most. i think that the early favorite is going to be the patriots. they have made key offseason additions and have the coolest QB under pressure. And Randy Moss to throw to. I am a huge giants fan but i think the Patties are gonna win it all.
WIN idk who will be up there? CHARGERS,BEARS,BENGALS,MIAMI
the Denver broncos of course
Chargers!! All the way - they are already 6-1 faves in Vegas. LT will bring it home, although the new coach is questionable.

I don't know if Brady wants to go to Disneyland. I don't think he'd fit in the roller coaster.

"He don't know no english!" I love the way jocks talk. Makes us regular people seem smarter than we really are.
Ah, some of them are and some aren't--just like normal folks. Of course, it doesn't help that a lot of big-time athletes are allowed to slide academically, and it's also a fact that a relatively high number of of NFL players are from low income backgrounds, where their intellectual development is hindered by underfunded, low-performing schools. Dumb implies a cognitive deficiency--a better way to look at it would be insufficiently educated. Football, especially at high levels, is a lot more complex than most people realize. Truly dumb people don't last long.
no most of them have least a high school diploma orcollegedegree.
well not all players are dumb but yeah that wouldnt surprise me. a lot of these guys know from the time they enter high school that they're going to be professional athletes so they don't care to study or pay attention in school. or maybe the guy has just had one too many concussions ;)

Please make it realistic, don't make the Chargers taking Calvin Johnson at 28.

State your favorite team and the player.

Which NFL Draft player do you want most for your team?jerseys

Bills fan here...

I'd love to see Patrick Willis in a Bills uniform. Young, fast, and strong. His coverage skills are a bit of a concern for a Tampa-2, but he has the speed to grow into that role and really excel. I think a talented MLB is what our defense needs more than anything, and something Fletch, who regularly got owned by blockers and couldn't make plays close to the LOS, couldn't do for us.

Our CB "need", IMO, is much ado about nothing. The Colts seem just fine with above-average backs and don't seem to mind losing two of them. We cannot replace Clements, so we shouldn't bother trying and just throw Youboty out there. Ohio State is some sort of defensive back factory, so he should do just fine. Running back can be addressed in the second, unless Peterson falls all the way to #12. His injury concerns make me question trading up when we need our first day picks, but if he's there at 12, you can't pass on him. Both LB and RB, our biggest needs, can be addressed in round 2...

Which NFL Draft player do you want most for your team?www.nba ,nba teams

Rams -

Amobi Okoye or if he's not there Patrick Willis
My favorite team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers favorite player is all the players on the Bucs team. I would like to see my team with the 4th overall pick in the NFL draft Calvin Johnson or Joe Thomas.
Minnesota Vikings--I'd love Calvin Johnson, but he'll be gone. I'd like Gaines Adams, but he'll be gone to Detroit. I think that if Cleveland gets Brady Quinn, we've got Adrian Peterson.
Eagles i am not gonna say anderson because they just got Takeo spikes so idk
New England Patriots-I think they have the WRs pretty much covered as long as they don't have any major injuries...and the best LB in free agency with Adalius Thomas...They got a DB...but they should get a couple more for insurance...
CleveLand Browns,Adrian peterson RB,Oklahoma.
For the Cleveland Browns:

1. Jamarcus Russell if he falls to the spot ... if not

screw a Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson

Give me Joe Thomas...that kid with the addition of Steinbach from Cincy added in free agency will sure up the ENTIRE left side of the offensive line for the next 6 seasons. It's all about the line...RB are a dime a dozen and the life of a NFL RB is short- gget a quality offensive line and you can find quality RB in later rounds that can give you 1200-1300 yards per year. And I'm not taking C. Johnson --another high maintenance WR ---another skilled position that you can find without wasting a 1st round pick on. Ask Detroit about these top notch high pick WR ---It's all about the OFFENSIVE LINE
I'm a BILLS fan...

Even though it's not gonna happen, or unless the Bills trade up to get him, I would like to see them draft Adrian Peterson (who I think will turn out to be the best player in this draft, besides Calvin Johnson). They need help at running back...badly.
I'd like to see the Texans get Adrian Peterson. Although they did just trade for Ahman Green, it couldn't hurt to get a young talent like Peterson.
Well if the falcons trade up with the bucs i would like 2 see them take calvin if he is still there or maybe adrian peterson because warrick dunn is getting close 2 retirement.or if we dont trade up Laron Landry
I like the Titans..and i believe we need a reciever!

Dwayne Jarrett would be a great addition to the team because he is one of the best recievers in USC history. Plus...vince young would have a great target!
My favorite team is the Saints. They need the most improvement in the secondary but with some of the off season moves they have made and with Harper coming back to play safety that puts Bellamy back at corner with that said i would like to see them take that receiver out of Tennessee starts with an M i think he is getting over looked and would be a great addition to an already great recving core
Packers: Greg Olsen or Marshawn Lynch
Carolina Panthers

Patrick Willis if he somehow falls that far

Reggie Nelson probably will fall that far..maybe they take him?

Greg Olsen....We need a TE that can be a threat receiving and blocking

Any of these three guys would make me very happy next saturday.
Yeah too bad Troy Smith is a projected 4th rounder.

Falcons--Laron Landry, he is the best defensive player in this draft (yes better than Gaines Adams) and I would love to see the falcons get him at number 8.
Dallas Fan: Dwayne Jarrett

Get something for T.O and put Jarrett into T.O. position opposite Glenn. Their offense needs to get young, Barber and Romo are starts, they need a receiver. But Aaron Ross is a good pick too.
My favorite team is the New Orleans Saints and there are three cornerbacks in the first round that I would love to see in black and gold, and we are bound to get one of them. They are:

Texas CB Aaron Ross

Pittsburg CB Darrelle Revis

Arkansas CB Christ Houston

Ross will more than likely be the one available at the 27th pick. Revis may stay in state if he gets drafted by the Steelers and Chris Houston may be a Dallas Cowboy. I also love Fresno State CB Marcus McCaulley in the second round. He can flat out run and out secondary lacked top end speed last year. Our best cornerback, Mike McKenzie is a 4.7 guy at best.
Jamarcus.
For my Raiders, Russel because they don't need another star receiver, they have Moss. Plus, Russel fits the way the Raiders offense works.
Cowboys fan

Hope they draft Robert Meachem
BROWNS- 1. CALVIN JOHNSON, WR, GT 2. MICHAEL BUSH, RB, LOUISVILLE

BRONCOS- 1. JARVIS MOSS, DE, FLA 2. ANTHONY GONZOLEZ, WR, OSU
I hope the falcons get laron landry
For the Philadelphia Eagles:

Round 1- dwayne jarrett WR USC- He is a big receiver and would fit in great with the eagles west coast offense.

Round 2- Brian Leonard RB Rutgers- Leonard would be a great steal if he is still on the board in the second round, He would be a great compliment to Westbrook which would let the eagles use them both and split westbrook out at the slot making mis-matches
Steelers - Paul Posluszny... We need a OLB to replace Joey Porter..
Steelers

Brady Quinn
New Orleans Saints- Chris Houston or Aaronn Ross or if they sign Jason David then pick up Dwanye Bowe in the first and the UNLV corner in the second or Marcus Macauly from Freson State
Baltimore Ravens taking Justin Blalock. He can play guard or tackle to help mend that aging offensive line, P.S....JAMAL COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
San Francisco 49ers - Ted Ginn Jr.

He'd solve many needs for this team.... hopefully he's still available to pick.
browns and they HOPEFULLY will get adrian peterson at the 3rd pick and troy smith in early 2nd round
Adrienne Peterson going to the Jets would be really great but a far fetched dream with the 25th overall pick!

Are NFL games often played in the kind of rain seen in london for the game yesterday ?

If a game is scheduled they'll play regardless of weather conditions. It gets interesting when you get a warm weather team (Miami, San Diego, Oakland) and have them play Chicago, Buffalo, or Green Bay during a snow storm. Now there's a real home field advantage

Yeah, sometimes it gets way worse. It can get real muddy. They play through all kinds of weather. Snow, winds, rain, heat, cold. The only thing that would stop a football game is lightning.
ya, ive seen weather a llllooooottttttt worse than what happened in London....i wish it was a little more exciting of a game than what it was
I have to agree with Felix. I have seen nasty fields and some frozen tundra. And good thing for the NFL they don't play in lightning.
No that kind of rain only happens in London, when they play in the U.S. and it rains it's different. Stupid question.
I wouldn't say often, but yes it happens, of course the turf in Wembley is very different from what they usually play on (its grown to be slick for the round-ball to move better). So the game was quite a bit more sloppy than usual, kind of a shame that thats what the fans in the UK got to see rather than you know... a GOOD game.

Also, many American Football stadiums built in areas with more extreme weather are either indoor or are indoor with a retractable roof.

What are some key acquisitions nfl teams made after the 06 season?

I just got madden 06, and im too cheap to buy 08. I just want to update some rosters. can u give me some key signings or trades that has happened since maddon 06 came out or the 06 season ended

Adrian Peterson was drafted this year by the Minnesota Vikings. Last year Reggie Bush was drafted by the New Orleans Saints.
London Fletcher to the skins

Nate Clements to the 49ers

Terrell Owens to the Boys

Randy Moss to the Pats

the best player that came out of the draft Adarian Peterson

How much does the NFL draft mean to you right now?

It's a little less than a month to the draft, and ESPN is doing a mock draft ("THE DALLAS COWBOYS ARE ON THE CLOCK!"). Mike Wilbon talked about it on PTI the other day. We've got the Final Four tonight, opening day for baseball tomorrow, The Masters in a few days, NHL playoff races, NBA playoff races... it's big week right now for sports and we're talking about the NFL draft? What's the big deal? Most of these players aren't going to last very long, and the ones that do aren't going to be recognized until football season.

I don't know about you... but all I care about is which team the starcollegeplayers went to, and who got drafted for my favorite team.

a lot its the NFL it always rules over all other sports and espn has been doing that mock draft for one team every day for the last 30 days its nothing new. who cares about golf or the NHL? nobody no one cares about the nba til the playoffs. espn does what interests ppl and football is the most watched sport in america

not that much but there's a lot of teams that need good players. I hope Calvin Johnson gets drafted to a good team. he's the best.

Are NFL football players really that dumb?

I know that football players are usually assumed to be dumb. But is it true that Channing Crowder (Dolphins linebacker) didn't know that people in London speak English?

Are NFL football players really that dumb?football ,nba teams

Well i think it was a slip of the tongue he probably wasn't paying any attention when he was asked the question but to be honest it seems way to many are just that players and i see that probably 60% arecollegedropouts who go no education just squeaked by to get to the PROS
Nope.
I read that he was trying to be funny. The best line is: "The closest I've been to London, is Londo Fletcher. I know he is black which means he is not from London".

It wasn't just that he didn't know they spoke English, but didn't know where London was located on a map. UF student athletes at it's greatest. I don't think he even finished college. That's got to be one of the dumbest quotes to say out in public like that. At least look it up before speaking to the newspaper.
thats the stereotype but a lot of them are pretty smart
English people speak ENGLISH? Who knew?
Alright, not everyone is dumb, just because they may be a stud doesn't mean they're dumb. They take many hits which is becoming a problem for some people, but there are a few people that may be unintelligent, cant help it
you are dumb for not rooting for LSU/OU.

Alonzo Coleman.
On yahoo sports right now it's Darren McFadden. The story is about the NFL combines.

Who should go first in this years NFL Draft?

The number 1 pick is still up to either the Lions or Raiders. Whoo do you think should go first. And as a bonus queston, who should Miami choose?

Who should go first in this years NFL Draft?nba playoffs

The Lions probably will and they'll pick BRADY QUINN. Why? He's most prepared. He's been taught the pro offense by Charlie Weis who taught TOM BRADY and he can step in and be effective immediately. The Dolphins should probably pick Reggie Nelson. They need a safety. If they don't pick him, they should pick a WR like Dwayne Jarrett or Jeff Samardzija.

Who should go first in this years NFL Draft?nba basketball ,nba teams

mark my words, Adrian Peterson will be the best player to come out of this draft. He is the perfect NFL running back.
Brady Quinn and Raiders should go first so they will hav a better pick.
I agree with the last answer of Brady Quinn cause he is soooo relaxd in the pocket and ready for a start at the NFL...
Matt Leinhearts
BRADY QUINN
Troy Higgins. It will be the UofM's revenge on his beating the Wolverines. The Lions will be the end of his football career.

(Just kidding!)
Brady Quinn for Detroit
i think to decide who is goin first you need to know who picks first. every team has different needs however in this case detroit and oakland both need qb's so quinn will prob go first

Do you think that endzone dances should be banned in the NFL?

Where sould we draw the line?

Do you think that endzone dances should be banned in the NFL?nba scores

As long as it doesn't delay the game (anything more than 45 seconds) or serve as a taunt to an opponent I have no problem with End Zone dancing.

This is one of the areas where I think the NFL has been too harsh on its players.

Do you think that endzone dances should be banned in the NFL?nba 07 ,nba teams

I love foot ball and I don't if they should actually be banned they could impose a fine if its really bad [super bowl

exception] because its pretty stupid watching these big strong professional football players shaking their butts and dancing around like a bunch of fairies--why they just through their arms up in champion style??
I watch a football game to see the strengths and tactics of the offense and defense, not the end zone antics. If the players assume they are "So You Think You Can Dance" material, they should do it during half time for the crowd's entertainment.
NO! It makes the game a whole lot more interesting... why do people want to ban and censor everything thats fun? TV will become boring...
I don't see why people get bent out of shape on end-zone celebrations. It's meant to be fun and maybe it's a bit in-your-face but that's how it works. Besides, where do you decide what would be appropriate and what's not? No one seems to want to throw a penalty flag when Donald Driver did the Lambeau Leap into the stands in Green Bay, did they? Is that really any different from T.O. busting out a Sharpie or Chad Johnson doing his celebrations?

If they don't want the endzone dances...keep the player out of the end zone. Simple. :)
Yeah, they should follow the advice of a famous coach who implored his players to be professional when they made a touchdown. The quote was something like "Act like you've been there before."
no its part of the game when someone scores you wait to see what their going to do and i enjoy so i don't think that endzones dances should be banned
It's not football, they're not babies, it's ok if someone scores a touchdown and rubs it in your face a little bit. Let them enjoy the touchdown. What's wrong with that? Endzone dances are just the players having a little fun. So no, they shouldn't be banned.
It's all in how you interpret or define the term...
No, just enjoy and laugh!

That would be kind of like banning free speech.
we shouldn't because it encourages the other team to kick tht guys ***..so it should actually be done MORE!
Yes, they are stupid and unprofessional. Stupid showboaters.
I'd rather have them celebrating that than celebrating making a tackle.

Woohoo! I made a tackle! Uh, that's what you're supposed to do, moron!
Dances and other pre-conceived rituals - YES

a celebration - NO
Absolutely. Act like you have been there before. It IS your job to score, so just do your job and get on with life. Celebrate after the game!
As long as its nothing derogatory, I think they are innocent fun. I mean, yes they are professionals... but they're not out there in suits and ties either. They are first and foremost entertainers. I think Mr. Goodell is having trouble understanding that these guys didn't pass the bar or anything... they play a game for money... a ridiculous amount of it.
as long as you don't have props or doing taunting to the other team i think it's fine.
No. If that happened, you'd have to ban the Dog Pound in Cleveland. I'm not a Brown fan, but I DO like the Dog Pound. It's one of the last pure Player-Fan interaction points in the NFL.
I don't have a problem with celebrating, but pre-planned and choreographed celebrations should be heavily penalized.

Who was the first european style kicker to play in the NFL?

The first kicker that just kicks and doesnt play any other position.

Who was the first european style kicker to play in the NFL?nba betting

Do you mean "soccer style kicker"? (I've never heard of a player who just kicks called that) If so, that is actually the way you kick (coming from a curve/angle and using the side of your foot rather than just booting it w/the tip)

If you mean soccer style, Pete Gogolak was the first in league, AFL's Buffalo Bills in 1964 (He was from Hungry, so he WAS european --but I still don't think your terminology is correct).

Rae Carruth was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle and using an instrument to destroy an unborn child and was sentenced to 18-24 years in prison.

Ray Lewis just saw a shooting and refused to testify and OJ got away, Carruth is in jail, he wins or loses however you wanna take it.
OJ...maybe even Ray Caruth
Current- Ray Lewis

All Time- the Juice
Ray Caruth... he is actually in jail right now, second would be a toss up between Ray Lewis and OJ, because they did it but didnt get convicted.. then theres probobly a million other guys that fall in behind those class acts who were or are using preformance enhancing drugs to get an edge.
Rae Carruth, he could have been one of the greatests NFL players today, but he murdered a person...he is one of the worst criminals and a waste of GOD given talent.
The entire Cincinnati Bengals team

Oh, and Maurice Clarett
RAY LEWIS BALTIMORE RAVENS
ray lewis. he beat an accessory to murder charge years ago.
Of all time, it has to be O.J. Simpson.

I think having committed DOUBLE MURDER "wins" this contest.

The former Trojan, even got booed by an arena filled with USC fans by when they showed him on the big screen at yesterday's game versus Notre Dame.
Art Model..............for stealing the Browns!!!
Ray Lewis...he a murdurer and should be in jail.
toss up ray carruth or maurice clarett... only two guys i know that are sitting in a jail cell right now
Lawrence Phillips...given way to many chances to set things straight including incollegeand didn't take them and I believe he is banned from playing in the NFL now...I think it was just last year that he got arrested for trying to run a teenager over for something that happened in a pickup game.
First of all, Ray Lewis and OJ didn;t do it and if they did they would be in jail. The American Justice system is good and would have realized if they did it, and jailed them. But they didn't, so neither of them is guilty. Their trials are over and done with it's in hte past so stop fussing about it. Maybe you should consider some of the NFL players that are currently getting in trouble, like possibly Jared Allen from the Kansas City Chiefs who was had three DUIs in the past year. Not saying hes the worst criminal, but hes the worst that I know of.

You're correct, sir. Not only will you make the playoffs, but the division winners are awarded #1, #2, #3, and #4 seeds REGARDLESS of what records the Wild Card teams have! You could be 7-9 and Washington (whom trails, say, 13-3 Dallas by one game) could be 12-4, and YOU WOULD GET A HIGHER SEED! Great new rule, eh?

Who is the best reciever in the NFL?

my pick is Terrell Owens, because he is a big, physical receiver.

Who is the best reciever in the NFL?nba dunks

I agree, T.O. is at the top of the game right now. Steve Smith would be my # 2 pick.

Who is the best reciever in the NFL?nba all star ,nba teams

Wesley Liles
marvin harrison. not big, but quick and never drops a pass. always seems open.
all time of course rice but currently smith

T.O. is real good but he has not played an entire season but im sure he will continue doin wut he does best. Play good football and cause more controversey
Deion Branch, He Is Also The Most Underrated Reciever

In The NFL
Steve Smith. he dosen't have the best size, but his speed and his ands are great. 2nd best- Larry Fitzgerald- Possibly the next Jerry Rice.
stole my pick. i mean its hard to pick just one, but TO is pretty damn good
my fav is Santana Moss but gotta giv it to Marvin H for be a all around better reciever than the rest watch out for Sinorice and Jason Avant next year
I HATE TO!

T.O. has BO! He needs 2 stop trying to get attention and play the f****** game! Football isn't about bashing teammates . He should do his **** job (He sure is getting paid to!)

"I feel like football players are overworked and underpaid compared to any other sports." T.O

~(Terrell Owen's was paid about $50 million! I donno about you but how does the nfl expect anyone to live on that?)

"I think there is something bigger in store for me. "

Terrell Owens

~(Excatly how much publicity do you really need?)

"I'll watch the highlights every now and then but, as far as watching the game, I feel like I am the game. "

Terrell Owens

"It doesn't matter what any of my teammates have said about me. "

Terrell Owens

~(Is that because you have better insults or more money?)

"Like I always said, if I'm one of the top players in the game, pay me like I'm one of the top players in the game. "

Terrell Owens

~($50 million is not enough!!!)

"Right is right and wrong is wrong. "

Terrell Owens

~(Wow he is deep!)

"The only people that really matter are the people that are in my inner circle. "

Terrell Owens

~(Hum let's see is Gandhi in your inner circle? How about Bill Gates, Hilary Clinton, The POPE?)

“Like my boy tells me; if it looks like a rat and smells like a rat, by golly, it is a rat.” T.O

~(I wonder who his boy was talking about?)

Sorry if I offended any Terrell Owens fans...but this is how I feel.

Maybe you can make me change my mind...please do i'd like to hear your side.
CHAD JOHNSON Great spead, Great route running Great awarenes motivates his teammates and makes them better and he doesn't drop passes.
Torry Holt.

He been averaging 1400 yards and 10 touchdowns EVERY year.

He just doesn't brag about it as much as those big mouth guys.
terrell owens hands down

the cowboys will win it all with him.
Hines Ward, best all-around WR
Marvin Harrison and Steve Smith.
Terrell Owens
i've gotta say Steve Smith, he's young, and has enormous talent. health is an issue, but im sure its fine, and now he has keyshaun at his side to take off the double team!
If TO wasn't a cancer to every team he is on, he would be the best. As it is, he is the most disappointing receiver in the league.

Harrison has been consistently the best. Smith is the most explosive and potentially dominate receiver.
steve smith, carolina, even though I hate the panthers

ATL baby!
there are a lot that are good but you gotta give it up to hines ward for being a great reciever and all around good guy. always smiling.
Hines Ward

Catches every thing near him

-63 career INTs

Who would have been better. Ronnie Lott or Sean Taylor in the NFL?nba playoffs ,nba teams

No freaknn way. Lott is the best of all time. Taylor wasn't even the best in the past few years. He is behind Dawkins from PHI, Mike Brown from CHI (when healthy), Reid from Bal, Troy P from Pitt and oh yeah Sanders from IND.
Ronnie Lott, even though Sean Taylor was a hell of a player and was developing into something amazing. Ronnie Lott was just an instant Legend
Lott. Taylor was great, but not GOAT great. The only guy I would compare to Lott right now is Ed Reed.
I say Ronnie Lott easily.
Easy Lott was better. He knew how to hit and pop that ball out.
Sean Taylor

He was a 2 time pro bowler and was a great player
Sean Taylor. =]

RIP 21.
Sean Taylor without a doubt! he was already showing great signs in his young career.
We will never know but, Lott, was AWESOME!
it's hard 2 tell but, i think it would be even.

If you win your division you are automatically in the division. You win your division by having the best overall record in the division. Your win - loss inside your division are only used as tiebreakers. You could lose all 6 divisional games and win all the others and win the division without winning a divisional game
yes always
yes...
Yes but i dont like it so much. I think that the top teams should make the playoffs but not be the #1 #2 #3 or #4 seed.

I'm with the first person who answered your question!!! It seems you want to start sh!t, but whatever...to answer your question....YES we can!!! Actually there have been a few Mexicans in the NFL Max Montoya is a former professional U.S. football player as a guard who played sixteen seasons in the National Football League. He is a four-time Pro Bowl guard who played in two Super Bowls with the Cincinnati Bengals. Fellow Mexican American Oscar Lua playedcollegefootball at the University of Southern California. In 2003, he backed up Lofa Tatupu. In 2005, he led the USC Trojans in tackles and made All-Pac-10 honorable mention. He played in the 2007 Hula Bowl. Rolando Cantu is a Mexican football player who currently plays for the Arizona Cardinals. And last Roberto Garza a Mexican American football guard for the Chicago Bears of the NFL

How important is the NFL columbine?

Should you rate a player on how far he throws, how how fast he runs or rate him by his game film? but it obviously affects the player on what round he might get drafted, thats for sure.

How important is the NFL columbine?nba playoffs 2007

It is soooo over-hyped. Just because someone puts up good numbers at the combine, it does not necessarily mean they will be a star in the NFL like in college.

How important is the NFL columbine?nba league pass ,nba teams

Well it's combine XD Columbine was a tragic school shooting. I'd say it's fairly important, but not all that matters. I mean, Brady looked terrible at his combine and look where he is now.
the combine is a good tool to use for breaking ties you have for certon players. If you have players A and B at the same position tied as far as how much u like him u can break that tie bye things like speed and power and wonderlick tests depending on what position hes playing.
It's kind of important. Teams in the NFL draft based on accuracy and arm strength. Sometimes, the combine isn't accurate. Look at Tom Brady, he was drafted in the 6th round and he goes on to lead the Patriots to 3 super bowl wins.
its pretty important, it is used in combination with game film because if the player has the physical tools to succeed then they might be worth more than someone who dose not have the tools to succeed on the next level but did good in collage
i think it is like half and half you got to at least know what potential you can have. that allows teams to see if a guy is worth trading up for.just look at trent edwards last year. you know you can call me bad but id do just enough to get in so i wouldnt go to a sorry or rebuilding teamid take my chances with a winner.and then after winning for a few years id go for the money.
Columbine? That was the school where those 2 gothic meatheads shot and killed a bunch of kids.

Do you mean the Combines?
i would say it is over-hyped, but in the NFL u need skill and athleticism, Cromartie of the chargers would have been drafted much lower, although i was one of the few after seeing him in the combine that was DAMN!!! i want that guy, and look how it's turned out, but never put too much on the combine, the guy has to have intangibles ( Ryan leaf is an EX who didn't)
Is the columbine where angrycollegeathletes get together to shoot at the coaches?

Or did you mean COMBINE?

It's a little different....just thought you should know.

It is useful, for measuring physical ability..... but it is way overrated, since it can't measure drive, motor, instincts, etc.

Plus, most of the top prospects don't even work out anymore. They are too scared it might hurt their draft status. Same reason most opt out of the Sr. Bowl.

Personally, I feel both should be mandatory. But I think they shouldn't be as important as game film.
Dick cheney threw it the farthest but he went undrafted and went on to a great career
The combine gives coaches and scouts a general idea of a players abilities. Teams go over everything before a player is drafted, game film, how they performed at the combine, personal workouts, attitude, work ethic, everything.
i believe its combine
really important because not all the scouts go to each players indivitual game this it the time where all the scouts can see ur talant

Dis the Detroit Lions have the best day in the NFL draft?

I think the Lions are going to do something offensive end this year.

Dis the Detroit Lions have the best day in the NFL draft?nba updates

Although good, Detroit was not the best. I would have to say the Browns did the best. They gave up alot to get Quinn but he is the guy they wanted and he should make up for no pick in next year's draft. And Joe Thomas is almost a can't miss and got help at corner with a good defensive back from UNLV (Eric Wright)

Dis the Detroit Lions have the best day in the NFL draft?nba tickets ,nba teams

Surprisingly, the Browns had the best day. When was the last time a team had two top rated players drafted in the first round?
Detroit had probably one of the best but I think Cleveland and the 49er"s were better. the 49er's got some much needed defense. and the browns 2 of the top 3 prospects.

the worst picks though had to have been made by Miami who could have had Quinn instead of a not so 100% Ginn.
They picked another wide receiver in the first round. The Lions have proven inept at selecting quality players at this position. I think this was a poor choice.
i think the lions did very well, but not the best. the lions traded mike williams and replaced him with CJ. he and roy will are going to go off. they got drew stanton who is pretty good and alama francis who i really like.

the browns reached for quinn giving up next years first which will likely be in the top 10.

i like the 9ers draft. they got who some believe to be the best OL after joe thomas, in joe staley. they got a steal in the 3rd with jason hill and ray mcdonald (1st team all SEC). and they got the best LBer in the draft and one of the fastest defensive players this year (4.3 40). the 9ers have 2 of the fastest LBers in the league in lawson and willis.
The BEARS have Greg Olsen!
Calvin Johnson might Even Break Detriots WR curse

(can you tell I'm a Bears fan?)

What Are The Top 5 Worst Starting Quarterbacks in the NFL?nba hoops ,nba teams

1. Tarvarius Jackson, Vikings - he's the thing keeping them from being a serious contender. With a good qb, they should win the division.

2. Brodie Croyle, Chiefs - the kid was average in college. In the NFL, he's got a long way to go.

3. Rex Grossman, Bears - have you seen him play well? Me either.

4. Trent Edwards, Bills - might improve with a better supporting cast, but he's got a long way to go also.

5. Joey Harrington, Falcons - this guy has stunk up the field from minute one. He was awful in Detroit and worse in Atlanta. He's a backup at best.

One guy mentioned Jon Kitna, but obviously didn't check his stats. The guy is a beast of a passer on a pass happy team. Maybe the Vikings should trade for him. A good running game would help him a ton.
Worse....

1. JaMarcus Russell (He is still considered a rookie in my book until he starts a game)

2.Whoever will end up starting for the Dolphins
