Are NFL Divisionial champs always given a playoff berth, regardless of out of division records?

Im doing a madden season with the Bucs and im 7-7 but leading my division, The NFC south. I doubt my record will get me wildcard, so will winning the division clinch a playoff berth?

You're correct, sir. Not only will you make the playoffs, but the division winners are awarded #1, #2, #3, and #4 seeds REGARDLESS of what records the Wild Card teams have! You could be 7-9 and Washington (whom trails, say, 13-3 Dallas by one game) could be 12-4, and YOU WOULD GET A HIGHER SEED! Great new rule, eh?

You got it.
yup
If you win your division you are automatically in the division. You win your division by having the best overall record in the division. Your win - loss inside your division are only used as tiebreakers. You could lose all 6 divisional games and win all the others and win the division without winning a divisional game
yes always
yes...
Yes but i dont like it so much. I think that the top teams should make the playoffs but not be the #1 #2 #3 or #4 seed.
